As an Elmwood Park resident, your library card gives you access to the latest best sellers, music, movies, software and magazines. Treat it carefully, it is a valuable asset.
You are responsible for all materials checked out on your card. So please do not let another person use your card. Parents or guardians are responsible for determining the suitability of library materials for their children.

Your Elmwood Park library card can open a new and exciting world of resources to you! Our online catalog (http://swan.mls.lib.il.us) is available 23 hours a day and may be accessed from anywhere you have Internet availability. You can search and place holds at your convenience, not just during Library hours.

FINES AND FEES
Overdue fines are added on late materials for each day the Library is open. Library privileges are suspended when fines reach $5.00.
Books, magazines and Software: $0.15/day
Videos, DVDs, Video Games, Video Games/ Consoles, Laptop Computer, portable DVD player, E-Readers: $2.00/day
Lost or damaged books are billed at the cost of the item plus a 20% processing fee. Lost or damaged A/V also has a processing fee. If the item can be replaced, the fee is 20% of the cost of the item. If the item cannot be replaced, the charge is $250.00.
Fees for items obtained from other libraries are determined by the owning library.
Some out-of-state libraries may charge a fee for lending their materials. We will let you know before we obtain any material from these libraries.

Many items may be renewed over the phone, online, or at the Library’s on-line catalogs. Call (708) 453-7645, visit http://swan.mls.lib.li.us, or use the online catalogs in the Library.
* Non-residents may use Internet workstations for $2.00 per hour and may check out videos and DVDs for $1.00 apiece. |
